Kali Ensemble presents Kamala

Kamalā is a series of works by Nirantar revolving around a practice of bringing tonal constellations into harmonic alignment and illuminating a space of symmetries and intensities breathing within the tones themselves. This labyrinthine space living inside sound, when invoked, weaves patterns into the air and infuses the breath with colour, giving rise to the rāgas of Kamalā. Kali Ensemble presents the fourth iteration of Kamalā, featuring Kristia Michael on voice, Nori on electric bass, Gregor Connelly on live electronics, and Nirantar himself on harmonium.
